Those food styling works by Linda Lundgren are so inspiring! That first image reminds me the rich, scrumptious, autumn dishes. And don’t you just love the concept of that palette plate image? Ah-mazing!

autumn at the arboretum.

I am taking a couple days of this week off to enjoy the fall season. Dallas Arboretum is an oasis in the midst of hectic Big-D town and I think it has its own charm. I’ve been there once for our engagement photo session a few years back. At that time, we weren’t able to enjoy most of the arboretum though.

So, the husband and I went there again for a picnic date a couple days ago and we had a lot of fun. It is such a charming, romantic place. We had a picnic overlooking the White Rock lake and had fun exploring the garden as well. It was a good time to go because they had a fun looking pumpkin village set-up in celebrating the autumn season.

color love: seafoam

It’s no longer a secret that I’ve been in love with the color seafoam recently. When I own a house, it will certainly be my first color pick for our bedroom’s wall. It has that warm and inviting character that is so charming. It can be so easily paired with chartreuse, brown, yellow, or the bolder teal.

it’s been two years.

Last week, our little family turned into 2 years old. I thank God and I feel so blessed and grateful for my amazing husband. He’s perfect for me in every way :) The husband and I decided to just go out to eat. Simple, but it was one of the most enjoyable celebration ever. We went to Daddy Jack’s, a local seafood restaurant with relaxing atmosphere, greatest service, and SUPERB food (and generous portion too!). I just loved it. The husband usually complains a bit whenever we go to a fine-dining restaurant ’cause most of their portion are tiny. He surely did not complain a bit last week.

Sorry, I didn’t even bother making sure to get the food shot perfectly ’cause all I wanted to do at the time was to start eating! And believe me, that dinner did NOT cost us a fortune. We’ll definitely be back!

Then, about a few days after, one of our good friends who has just turned into a photography aficionado offered to take our photos to build his portfolio. What a nice coincidence, so we happily agreed. I was excited because I had some cute ideas in mind to bring out our personality in the images.

So, here we go.

It’s “heartfelt” :)

The banner on the shot below came from a baby shower decoration I did last year. Remember?

Last but not least, my favorite of all, just ’cause this shot is “so us” :)

Tulle, I’m in love

Friday, January 22nd, 2010 | 1 Comment

I’ve been a big fan of Ouma, an etsy shop selling feminine, poofy dresses with vintage look. I love how they combine the casual striped tees with the dressy feminine tulle. Not to mention, a pair of shiny stilettos. It’s casual meeting classic and romantic! Love, love, love the photo styling and of course the dresses!

I’ve been so.. so.. busy this week, which explains the minimal blog posts. Preparing my upcoming etsy shop *teehee*, doing personal projects, and who knows how much stuff i need to do for hubby’s birthday this week.

In the midst of all that, looking at these images by Mandy Lynne just got me all warm inside :) So, so lovely, dreamy, delightful, and inspiring. I love those scalloped square clipboard, which you can actually purchase at creative imagination.

Engagement at the Fairgrounds

Thursday, August 20th, 2009 | 2 Comments

I have a long time photographer-crush on Sarah K Chen. It started back then when she was planning her own wedding and have all the beautiful DIY projects she could get her hands on. Everyone who were planning weddings back then knew Mrs. Pootiekins! :)

Nowadays, she is a great wedding photographer and I’ve always been stalking her blog since then. A few days ago, she posted this super cute engagement shot. Fairgrounds. Yellow balloons. Cotton candy. Funnel cake. Toboggan slides. Merry Go Round. Beautiful-beautiful colors. It has all I ever wanted to see in an engagement shoot!

This shot at the Toboggan slide has the most beautiful colors. There are so many ways that inspiration can come to me. This one image inspires me in so many ways. Love it thousand times! What a fun way to do an engagement shot.
