Interesting puzzle concept by Upon a Fold, one of my most favorite paper goods shop and blog. You can assemble the kit into a strand of 6 pyramids, which then can be folded to form letters of the alphabet. I love how abstract the forms that the letter makes and how colorful they are!

It’s the first of February, already! Valentine’s day is near and pink (and red) seems to be quite the appropriate color of the month everywhere. Luci Everett‘s french-folded book with the theme of party completely wins my heart today and get me in the pink mood. It’s very well crafted with simple but very intriguing concept. Her typography and illustrations are equally adorable, too. This is such a lovely piece to look at that brightens today’s dreary winter weather!

I came across Scoutbooks the other day and thought it was so neat. They sell pocket notebooks with a lot of cool designs and patterns on the cover, but if that’s not enough, you can MAKE your own CUSTOM notebook! How neat is that.

layered laser cut invite.

I was wowed by these invitations from the first sight. It’s an invitation to an annual event for interior designers and architects by The Design Institute of Australia, designed by Büro North. Because this year is Top 6×6 with six designers presenting six projects, the designers decided to emphasized on the concept of “six” and created six layered image different in color and composition, each laser-cut to create depth. The designers hand-assembled and laset-cut these by themselves. Amazing, yes?

This is the kind of Save The Date design that makes you just absolutely want to save the date. Simple and creative. A result of brilliant idea that was excellently designed and very well executed. Definitely one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. The revealed production cost was not ridiculously expensive either. Designed by L’Office Optimiste, via FPO.

Absolutely love this Japanese paper goods store I recently just discovered, Uguisu. They sell the recently-big-hit Japanese masking tape, but other than that there’s so much other things that are pretty and gorgeous in a subtle and simple way. One of my favorite is the oh-so- lovely alphabet stamp.

betsy the paper doll

Here comes another vintage treasures. When I discovered this Betsy McCall paper doll site, I was immediately feeling nostalgic. Although I didn’t grow up with Betsy specifically, I did grow up with lots and lots of paper dolls. I probably bought them almost everyday at the street stand in front of my school. Gee, how long ago was that? So nostalgic! *squeals*

Being a bit environmental friendly, I put together my Betsy paper dolls on Photoshop with the handy Magnetic lasso tool. Of course it’s more fun to print it and cut it, but oh well… :)
