show sneak peek.

We were at a bridal show on Sunday and had a good time. We met a lot of great people! I didn’t bring a proper camera with me and so the picture above is from my iPhone + Poladroid. You can probably see a bit of our brand new flat-printed signature wedding collection.
Because it was our first bridal show, to say that we were busier than usual is an understatement. I’m taking today off from blogging to catch up with my classes, work on our portfolio website (which needs MAJOR revamping and updating), and look for a nice, cheap pedicure so my feet and my pocket will thank me. I will see you with a blog post tomorrow!
news + updates.
Hello friends! So sorry for the hiatus! I have been really swamped with work and haven’t been able to even browse the net for inspiration. My life lately has been consumed and spent in front of the computer. The good thing is, some new and exciting things are coming to Love Ardently!
First of all, in case you haven’t noticed yet, we are getting a blog makeover! Please excuse our mess, since we are still currently in the process of finalizing everything. You might noticed that things changed here and there. I am so excited to FINALLY do this. I’ve been putting this off for months and months, and last week, I finally got to start on it. In the process of the makeover, I came to realize that writing and maintaining this blog is often times a “getaway” or a “distraction” for me from doing our actually design works. The word daydream can be described as “a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one’s attention from the present”. I like to think of this blog as my daily daydreams, and therefore we have a new little name for the blog! :)
In addition to that, you might also have noticed that we have a different logo as well! I have been struggling with our logo for quite a while, and trust me, I almost pulled my hair out for the past few months thinking about this logo alone. It is so hard to design for yourself. Well, I have made my peace with myself and put my best effort and as a result, we now have a simpler, more straightforward logo. Yep, the birdie’s gone (which I am a bit sad about, but trying to cope with). We have decided to go with something that represents our image better and something that is more “us”.
We are also preparing for our first ever bridal show! *gasp* Yes, exactly in one week, we’ll be having our first ever bridal show in Fort Worth, TX hosted by 809 at Vickery. If you are planning your wedding and live around the DFW Metro area, you are more than welcome to attend this FREE Bridal Show! It’s geared towards couples whom are planning their wedding with $10,000 budget or less. We will also be launching our new flat-printed wedding signature collection at the show!
Alright, enough rants. If you look at the time stamp on my last twitter post, you’ll agree that I should quickly get some sleep now. Have a good Sunday everybody!
candy card
After the heart button string-tie envelope DIY yesterday, it’s time to reveal the inside of the envelope that I sent to my swap buddies at Weddingbee and Crow & Canary.

Err… this time I really have to credit the inspiration to Martha. I couldn’t find a wider solid pink grosgrain ribbon on Michaels the other day (can you believe that?!), so I just used a less wide ribbon I had on hand. I hope it resembles a candy enough :)

Wedding Wednesday: Jeff + Jessica
It’s been a while since we have a Wedding Wednesday in this blog. I promise you, you’ll love this one. Do you remember these fabric invitations we did for Jeff & Jessica’s wedding last Fall?
Well, I was such at joy today to find out that Josh McCullock, the photographer of the big day, has posted tons of photos on his blog of the actual wedding day. Jessica was a friend of mine and it was such a bummer that I couldn’t come to the big day, but Josh did such a wonderful job capturing the day!
Jessica looks so pretty! The birdcage veil and the feathery hair accessories looks amazing on her.
She also mostly DIY the decorations. Don’t you love the old photos hung on tree bark? And of course the mason jar. Looks so lovely and really fits the vintage-barn wedding theme!
The ring-bearer also held responsible bearing a wagon filled with baby flower girls. How cute is that?! The ceremony takes place outside the barn.
Love this “tree lighting” inside the barn, which is where the reception was held. The color combination is one of my favorites! We actually did some labels too for their food buffet with matching design to their invitation. Wish I could show them to you!

I love that last send-off picture so much. It has so much energy and just so charming! Please visit Josh’s blog to view more of this wedding photos and visit his portfolio to view more of his works!
Light of Days
As if keeping one blog is not consuming my time enough, I’ve decided to take on another project. Since the end of last year, I’ve been contemplating on doing “something-a-day” project to challenge myself creatively everyday. I promise you it was not because I watched Julie and Julia :)
So, at the end of December 2009, I was writing down my 2010 resolution and as a devout (trying to!) Christian, one of my high-priority resolution was to spend more time reading the Bible. I thought that I could probably combine it with my attempt on doing “something-a-day” project.
So today, I present to you: Light of Days.
It’s a project that tackles my discipline, spiritual maturity, and creativity, all at the same time. I’m interested to see how it all coming to be at the end of 2010! I hope you are following my journey :)
Dessert Calendar on SALE!
Just in time for the new year, we are reducing the price on our 2010 Dessert Calendar! Hurry all to our Etsy!
Have a Sweet Christmas, you :)
This year, I participated on Brooklyn Bride’s Card Swap and here is what I came up with.
At the time, I was just doing a major furniture re-arrangement and decorating overhaul in my apartment and it was such a hectic time, especially with my friend’s visit. I couldn’t find my baker’s twine so I had to send the actual cards using jute twine instead. Anyways… this was such a quick, short, and definitely sweet project that I totally enjoy!
Hope you enjoy your Christmas Eve. Have a sweet one!
2010 Dessert Calendar!
So, I finally took the plunge and went ahead to create the 2010 Calendar. Although it may be a tad late, I’m still proud of at least being able to finish it :) The concept was inspired by my recent obsession of confectioneries, cakes, or pretty much anything sweet. The calendars are printed on beautifully textured Mohawk paper via Felt.
Without further due, here we go.
I just wish I can photograph it better. I rely on the natural sunlight for my photography since I don’t have a fancy SLR camera or expensive equipment and lighting. The sunlight today wasn’t so great when I was going to photograph it, but I really can’t wait to get the words out! :)
Here is the desktop calendar, which comes with acrylic jewel case:
And there’s also a wall calendar version:
