Whoahh… it’s been a busy week for me. I’m not particularly glad that it’s the weekend already because I’m so much in a working mode *huh*. Anyways, here are five of my favorite finds this Friday. Have a great weekend, y’all!

. Mini Creamers. Seriously, how adorable are these little guys! I’m not just thinking creamers. I’m thinking it’s also perfect for little flowers. Via Divine Caroline.

. Das Jahr Poster by Marlene Reidel. I’ve been painting so much this week and that’s why I can TRULY appreciate the artist behind this AH-mazing poster! Beautiful details! Makes me happy just looking at it through my screen :)

. Sticky Advice Tape. Types on a tape! :) Via Divine Caroline.

. Bread Shoes. Not sure what I feel about this *lol* It’s pretty amusing!

. Gocco feature on SSC. This reminds me that I really need to get my little machine out from under my couch. I have a gem under my couch and I haven’t been using it!

Anthropologie Rugs

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009 | Add a Comment

We are thinking of redecorating our apartment (well, at least we have all the intentions to do that) and I’ve been looking for inspirations. These rug patterns from Anthropologie are just so inspiring. A couple of these rug patterns actually look a bit like Indonesian batik pattern to me. Oh, and that round doily rug with the scalloped edge is just so adorable.

Modcloth Love.

I was scouring on Modcloth yesterday and just fell in love with their apartment and book collections. My uttermost favorite is the conversation plates. And the taterpots. And the toothbrush holder. So much cool things!

Utensilo Wall Organizer

Monday, October 19th, 2009 | 1 Comment

I spent all last week struggling with Flash and Actionscript. That’s why I was mostly MIA on the blog + twitter. Man, Action script is a BEAST. I was even so hesitant to go to sleep just so I didn’t forget the script, the rules, the coding, where things are etc… LOL! I thought to myself that I would NEVER ever say yes to another Flash project. It’s just all too complex. But when it’s all said and done… Would I do it all over again? Yes, I would. :) Flash is so complex but also so worth it. The website is not ready for showing just yet, though! :)

So anyways, this week I’m all happy and bright! :) To begin the week, I need to get organized. Everything is so all over the place, even stuffs from last week’s baby shower decoration. Speaking of organization, I saw this Utensilo large wall organizer at Design*Sponge today. It is a dream of many artist and designer, isn’t it? It doesn’t come in cheap price tag, though. $425 on Design Public.

Twigs and Woods from Anthropologie

Fall season is finally here in Dallas, Texas. (I think). I came out from my evening class at about 7:20 today and it was dark. It wasn’t as dark last week. The wind today was pretty chilly, too. A couple of my most favorite element of the Fall season is anything made of or related to twigs and woods. Love, love these Anthropologie home products.

I’ve been so.. so.. busy this week, which explains the minimal blog posts. Preparing my upcoming etsy shop *teehee*, doing personal projects, and who knows how much stuff i need to do for hubby’s birthday this week.

In the midst of all that, looking at these images by Mandy Lynne just got me all warm inside :) So, so lovely, dreamy, delightful, and inspiring. I love those scalloped square clipboard, which you can actually purchase at creative imagination.

Animals and Birds by Amy Ruppel.

I have a major illustrator crush on Amy Ruppel. Yesterday, I posted about the Dunny Series 2009 and she’s one of the designer. Her dunny is probably my favorite out of the bunch. She was also the illustrator behind Target’s awesome Holiday Campaign in 2007. Now you’ll go “Aha! I remember that!”

She has these cool painting/illustration of state animals and state birds up for purchase at her website. I think these are so, so cool. I really like the fact that this is mix media. She mentioned on her website that her main medium is computer illustrated drawings printed onto paper that is then layered into beeswax. On these state animal & bird paintings, I think she also did oils on wood along with the paper & wax. So amazing!!!

Can you guess what state animals are these?

What about these lovely state birds?

Those paintings would look so great hanging on someone’s wall. Love it.

There’s No Place Like Here.

I bet everyone is jealous by the working space slash home of Stephen and Shauna, the creator behind Something’s Hiding In Here. They are probably famous with their mustache creations that has oddly became a quirky trend in a lot of wedding photographs, although of course they are so amazingly talented making lots of other things. Their studio space (which is also where they live) is so inspiring. I would admit that what made me almost jumped off my chair was the peg board and how organize everything was in the studio. Ribbon holder, color markers in cups, highly organized thread spools, inspiration boards. Everything looks like what I have in my dream.

There is also an interview with a broader view of the space. Everything is just truly one of a kind. There’s no place like that, indeed.
