This week is the second week of school and life has been pretty crazy. I only finished ONE, i repeat, one Love Ardently project this week. Time has been consumed by school stuffs, and I really didn’t anticipate this to happen. :( This explains why I haven’t been on LOD as well, sorry! Anyway, Friday’s here and this is my catching up day. Lots and lots of things need to be done, but I’m gonna take a breath for a bit and present you my FFF :)
+ Helvetica Cookies over at Hello Typo. Am I dreaming?
+ Heart Home Rug at Design Milk. Lovely and just in time for Valentine’s day :)
+ Letterpress Drop Cap by Jessica Hische. The price is far out of my reach, but i love everything about this print!
+ Think of Me handkerchief by Bird and Banner.
+ Wedding Scrapbook on OSBP by The Haystack Needle. So lovely! Err… which is a reminder for me to do (begin) mine.

Thanks to Kristina at My Heart Behaves, I stumbled upon the Ampersand Ampersand project. Celebrating the beauty of the ampersand, one ampersand is posted each day in this blog, along with a link to the foundry’s website. I can’t keep my eyes off of this blog!

The last week of January! How fast time flies. Valentine’s day is just around the corner, and most people know that I’m a big fan of romantic novels especially those written by Jane Austen. If you haven’t figured out yet, the name “Love Ardently” actually was inspired by a quote in Pride and Prejudice said by Mr. Darcy to Elizabeth, “You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you“.
So, when I found Brookish on Etsy, I was almost jumping off my chair, literally. I think these are the most perfect Valentine’s gift for a romantic who loves Jane Austen’s quotes (such as moi :)). How can one not love these?

And these are my favorites. :)

I’ve been a big fan of Ouma, an etsy shop selling feminine, poofy dresses with vintage look. I love how they combine the casual striped tees with the dressy feminine tulle. Not to mention, a pair of shiny stilettos. It’s casual meeting classic and romantic! Love, love, love the photo styling and of course the dresses!

I had no idea that something on Craiglist can turned into such beautiful arts. If you are as clueless as I was, read the article right here.
Sophie Blackall, an editorial + children’s book illustrator, was inspired by the heartfelt messages on Craiglist New York’s missed connection forum and thus the Missed Connections project was born. It is basically an ongoing series of paintings based on real, anonymous messages posted online by lovelorn strangers. I love her illustration style and the way she convey some regular messages into a work of art. Besides, all these true stories are just so interesting.
All of these beautiful illustrations are on sale over at her Etsy shop.

I’ve been admiring the art of paper cutting lately. I’m beginning the week with this inspiring and awesome paper cutting artist from London, Robert Ryan. His typographic style is very unique. I love how he works with paper cutting art and also moves to lots of different directions (like screen printing) with it. His portfolio website is currently under construction but he has a blog and an etsy shop.

New artist crush! :) Saelee Oh’s works has that lovely charm. Looking at her illustration, I felt like being taken to a dreamy fairytale world somewhere. I love her color palettes. I especially adore the way she combines illustrating and paper cutting art. I am a fan.
Looking at works from talented artists like her makes me want to take an illustration class. :)

These ones are from her recent solo exhibition called “Tangled Tales“.

Ale Paul, one of the most brilliant type designer ever, just came up with a new lovely script font exclusively for Veer. It’s just so, so lovely, delicate and charming. Click here to watch slide show of the applications in form of love letters, titled “Wish You Were Here”. So sweet!

As I mentioned before in a post, one of my favorite fashion designer (probably, ever) is Leanne Marshall. I rarely describe something like this, but her style is simply just perfection to my taste. This has been posted on her blog since December, but since I was MIA from the computer a lot last month, I just saw this yesterday.
I was gasping in awe when I saw this custom wedding dress she did for a patron. It might just be the most stunning wedding dress I have ever seen. Ever.
